There’s a butcher in my garden

A butcher bird that is. I’m told that they place their uneaten prey on thorns (much like a skewer) and return to it at a later time. Seeing as there’s no suitable thorns around, the one in my garden has decided to use the tip of a fig tree branch. Quite fascinating.
